Bring Back Bronco: The Untold Story

Bring Back Bronco: The Untold Story

    by

    Since Jul 22, 2020 21:34 UTC

This is the story of a truck and the story of a country. The Ford Bronco is one of the most beloved brands in American automotive history. But when the last one rolled off the assembly line in Wayne, Michigan on June 12th, 1996, it was the end of the brand, and the start of a lot of questions. Sonari Glinton goes on the road trip of a lifetime to find out why Ford killed the Bronco and meets the passionate fans and team of Ford employees who went underground to bring it back. This 8-part serial is a fifty-year odyssey of blood, sweat, and dirt. It takes you from the dizzying heights of the post-war boom, to the most watched police chase in American television history and this year’s rebirth of the Bronco.

Influence: Exploring The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly Of Advertising

    by

    Since Oct 28, 2019 13:00 UTC

Influence is a show about…influence (surprise!) Join Damian Bradfield as he explores who has it, who wants it, and most importantly, how to use it for good.

This season, we are going back to our roots and zooming in on the influential voices shaping culture and creativity today. Damian goes down some unexpected avenues with a host of brilliant minds as he discusses what makes great art, the thrill of taking a risk, and the social good that can come from following your passions. This show is 100% for you if you can’t read or simply like listening. Our producer Rachel works wonders to make Damian sound half interesting and sometimes adds a jingle (budget allowing). Damian was voted as one of the world’s favourite faces for podcasts in 2021 and has also written a book called the Trust Manifesto that all his family bought but haven’t yet read.

    I Could Live Here

    I Could Live Here

    by

    Since Feb 5, 2019 04:56 UTC

Old houses, old histories, old friends, new takes! In each episode, a house of Notable Repute is discussed, with one amateur house enthusiast (Mindy) sharing her findings with one enthusiastic listener (Deb). From the very glamorous homes of railroad barons, to the kooky DIY efforts of those Arts and Crafters, we’ll take a peek inside them all, and ponder that singular question, “Could we live here?” We’re closing out our season with one of the most iconic buildings in New York. The Chrysler Building in midtown Manhattan was paid for and owned by Walter P. Chrysler, automobile tycoon, and designed by the avant-garde architect of the age, William Van Alen. Hey, it’s not exactly a house but it does have hubcaps as ornamentation! A sky-high Art Deco lunch club! Sneaky spires! Career-ending lawsuits! All that drama and more!

Witness Radio: A Podcast About Immigration

Witness Radio: A Podcast About Immigration

    by

    Since Mar 25, 2021 15:19 UTC

In these captivating, compelling, sometimes tragic, yet always uplifting tales of humanityfrom the borderlands, host Sarah Towle, author of Crossing the Line: Finding America in the Borderlands, spotlights the extraordinary efforts of ordinary heroes to tear down the walls that divide us.

It’s David meets Goliath in the age of global apartheid. But can the monster be slain this time?

Global nomad and ally to all, Sarah believes that “if you knew, you’d be outraged too!” Her tales of humanity from borderlands, worldwide, lift up the heroes still flying the tattered flag of values espoused in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights — folks who show us, every day, that there is a better way. That we can welcome with dignity. That cruelty is not okay.

Formerly entitled Witness Radio, From the Borderlands is endorsed by Witness at the Border and is produced by Livia Brock.
