The Good Listening To: The Story Behind Your Story Show!

The Good Listening To: The Story Behind Your Story Show!

    by

    Since Oct 8, 2020 18:00 UTC

Cutting through the noise with stories of Distinction & Genius & welcome to the “Genius Club!” Think “Desert Island Discs” but in a ‘Clearing’ and with stories rather than music. This is the storytelling podcast that all takes place in ‘The Clearing’ (or ‘serious happy place’ of my Guest’s choosing) and from where the ‘story behind the story’ of being them unfolds. It’s the Storytelling show with the Squirrels & the Tree from Motivational Comedian Chris Grimes! ‘The Clearing’ is where all good QUESTIONS come to be asked and all good STORIES come to be told! All my Guests have 2 things in common: They are all creative individuals from the worlds of Arts & Entertainment, Business & Culture and all with a story of ‘distinction & genius’ to tell. “Who are you? What’s your story? And what ‘life-lessons-learned-along-your-way’ would you like to share with us?” And whilst we’ve got you here in “The Clearing”: “What would you like your legacy to be? How would you most like to be remembered?” This is the Storytelling Podcast series from “MojoCoach”, Facilitator & Motivational Comedian Chris Grimes. With some lovely Storytelling metaphors to also enjoy along the way: The Clearing itself, a Tree, a lovely juicy Storytelling exercise called “5-4-3-2-1”, some Alchemy, some Gold, a cheeky bit of Shakespeare, a couple of random Squirrels and a Cake! So it’s all to play for! “Being in ‘The Good listening To Show’ is like having a ‘Day Spa’ for your Brain!” (So saideth Wendy Bagger!) So – let’s cut through the noise and get listening! Laughter Research

    by

    Since Oct 23, 2014 19:15 UTC

The Laughter Research Project is a show in which I explore the phenomenon of laughter. From the fascinating science of laughter research, to the joys of laughing until you cry. My guests vary from academics, such as psychologists and sociologists, to entrepreneurs and comedians. In each episode, with the help of my guests, I explore the role which laughter plays in our daily lives and I examine the truths and the myths around laughter. Is laughter purely a physiological response, or is it a social and culturally mediated means of communication?

Now, Where Were We? with Barry Cryer and Bob Cryer

Now, Where Were We? with Barry Cryer and Bob Cryer

    by

    Since Dec 17, 2021 14:34 UTC

Now, Where Were We? is the show that Barry Cryer has been waiting 86 years to make!

Alongside his son, actor and writer Bob Cryer, Barry’s booked a room at a favourite London pub, called up a bunch of famous pals he’s not seen since lockdown began, and he’s invited them down for a pint and a proper catch-up. This is Barry at his storytelling best, in his natural habitat, doing what he’s done for decades: making us laugh.

There is some very explicit language used in punchlines from time to time, but Barry’s nearly 90, so it’s sort of delightful, isn’t it?
