    Sorry, I’m Sad

    Sorry, I’m Sad

    by

    Since Feb 9, 2021 16:00 UTC

When her husband was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and given 6-12 months to live, Kelsie Snow avoided other people’s sad stories as a rule, but as time wore on she found herself seeking them out. Snow, a former sports reporter for The Boston Globe, Los Angeles Times and St. Paul Pioneer Press, began writing about her life on her website and learned there is comfort in knowing how others have loved, lost and kept going. Sorry, I’m Sad chronicles the Snows’ story in real-time. From the desperate early days, to the hopefulness of a promising clinical trial, to heartbreaking setbacks and constant grappling with mortality, Kelsie, her husband Chris, an assistant general manager of the NHL’s Calgary Flames, and others they have met along the way share stories about grief, loss and the importance of hope.

In each episode, we’ll be joined by women and marginalised individuals who will share their personal recovery journeys and provide valuable tips and resources for managing autism and/or maintaining mental well-being. I also acknowledge the positive impact that men are making to change the world of disabilities, mental health, and neurodiversity as part of the #HeforShe movement. Victoria will share her personal insights and experience with mental health and recovery. She will discuss the importance of taking care of our mental wellbeing and the power of positivity in the journey towards healing. Victoria will also share some tips and tricks for maintaining a healthy mindset, and offer some light-hearted moments to keep things “giggles and smiles.” Tune in as Victoria encourages listeners to prioritise their mental health and shares her story of hope and resilience. MY MISSION: To empower and support women with autism and undiagnosed autism to embrace their unique identities and achieve positive change and recovery. I am striving to create a safe and inclusive community where these women can explore and utilise their creativity, build self-worth, and develop the skills and self-awareness necessary for self-acceptance and self-help. I believe that every woman with autism has the potential to thrive and lead fulfilling lives, and it is my goal to provide the tools, resources, and support they need to do so. Through a combination of education, empowerment, and community building, I hope to inspire and enable these women to embrace their strengths, embrace their challenges, and embrace their futures. They’ll also discuss what helps, whether it’s medication, meditation, or binge-watching Netflix while eating an entire wheel of cheese. Join Alice and Deanna every other week as they amuse each other and the guests they’ve managed to trick into joining them. It’s all going to be okay. Probably.

    Mikeadelic | Liberty. Psychedelics. Self-Empowerment

    by

    Since Apr 15, 2016 19:58 UTC

Each week I explore big ideas through a psychedelic point of view with a core anchor rooted in cognitive liberty. My mission is to co-create spontaneous, authentic experiences with others in the flow of a real conversation that is emergent, organic and always thought provoking, inspiring, heart opening, raw, and real. I’m interested in all things that question authority, assumptions, and premises. I am lit up by big ideas, deep unconventional conversations, embodied experiences, community, humor, awe-inspiring art, and radical workings toward wholeness, connection and creativity. “You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.” ― Buckminster Fuller I aim to create the latter. I believe we are in a transformative phase where consciousness is evolving and we are here to know ourselves and each other more whole and deeply, like never before. We need each other, and we need real commit and support systems. I believe we have the opportunity to enter into a new phase of humanity where we are unleashing more creativity, art, freedom, through diversity, novelty and radical experimentation in social organization, and a re-shaping of our values and incentive systems. The internet, Psychedelics, and the principles of liberty have the power to change peoples lives for the better. This show aims to bring these topics, and more, together in a holistic approach. This show is all about changing the world for the better by authentically co-creating in community. Always Question Everything and Think for yourself. I hope you enjoy it, and if you do, please subscribe, share and leave me a 5-star ★★★★★ rating and review on Apple Podcasts You can also support this show for as little as $5 a month on Patreon.com/mikebranc Bonus episodes and a community discord server available + more goodies. This unique podcast explores the intersection of food and grief. Mother-daughter cohosts Bobbie Comforto and Zahra Tangorra are joined by a special guest who shares their personal experience with loss, grief, and heartbreak, and how food factored into their journey. Bobbie has worked as a psychotherapist specializing in bereavement and trauma for over 30 years, but before entering the world of grief counseling Bobbie was a culinary entrepreneur. Zahra Tangorra is a Brooklyn-based chef and restaurant consultant. They share a deep love of food and a personal understanding of its connection to grief. Change and loss are inevitable in all our lives. The relationships that we as humans have surrounding food and loss are universal and relatable across different cultures, beliefs, and lifestyles. It is our individual adaptation to the things we cannot control that makes us unique. Processing exposes and digests these commonalities and differences in each episode. Unconditional Healing with Jeff Rubin

    Unconditional Healing with Jeff Rubin

    by

    Since Sep 2, 2020 00:00 UTC

Can a person embrace immense adversity in their life to not only cope, but to thrive and discover their most authentic self?

As a teacher of Buddhist meditation and psychology for four decades, and someone “blessed” with a chronic illness for two of those decades, Jeff Rubin has been obsessed with answering this question. This obsession led him to develop a program called Unconditional Healing, a new model of health that has helped countless people transform their relationship to pain, adversity, and illness, and unlock their own storehouse of confidence and resilience.

In this podcast, Jeff explores the principles of Unconditional Healing with talks, healing practices, and interviews with those who have discovered how to thrive in the face of adversity. He also features guests who are experts or thought leaders in a particular aspect of health and well-being. If you are dealing with an acute or chronic illness, the loss of a loved one or your livelihood, the dissolution of a relationship, or any other adverse circumstance that has you feeling anxious and confused, then this podcast is definitely for you. Especially if you’re looking for a more nuanced, more spiritual way to work with life’s inevitable difficulties.

Please note the podcast is currently on hiatus, but all episodes remain available on all the major podcast platforms.
