All New. All Different. All of the Above: The greatest addition to your life routine.

For six years, All of the Above radio was the greatest music and storytelling podcast under the radar. If you did get to hear it, you were privy to the best indie music and enjoyed the best in entertaining interviews, opinions and perspective. Now comes All New, All Different, All of the Above. More stories, more passion, more entertainment with no music to slow the momentum. Laughter, learning, and introspection are guaranteed with every episode. Whether you know it or not, All New, All Different, All of the Above is about to be your favorite podcast.

Hank Thorpe is your host and chief storyteller. He’s a self-proclaimed concert addict, foodie, social commentator, dollar store psychologist and sports fan. His background, education, experiences and life outlook help to create the show’s slightly off center perspective. Hank has gotten into and out of countless strange situations and believes that the best stories require no exaggeration. Put mildly, Larry David would be jealous of some of Hank’s exploits. And he isn’t shy to tell you about any of them!

Why read more about the show when you could be listening? Or better yet contacting? Send Hank an email at alloftheaboveradio@gmail.com.

My Classic Album with Mike Norris

    by

    Since Jul 31, 2016 20:32 UTC

My Classic Album’ is a podcast about the most acclaimed and loved albums of all time! There are many great albums out there but there’s an extra special ingredient that makes an album a classic album. Join Mike Norris as he dedicates each episode to one classic album and looks at the history of the album and its impact in the years following its release. ‘My Classic Album’ celebrates albums from the 1960’s right through to the new millennium from musicians as timeless as The Beatles and Bob Dylan, bands who rock as hard as Led Zeppelin and KISS, as well as contemporary performers such as Arctic Monkeys and Radiohead. ‘My Classic Album’ has been extremely lucky to play host to incredible singers and musicians including Nathan Stephens-Griffin (Martha, ONSIND), Grammy Award winner Bruce Carroll, guitar virtuoso Adrian Nation (Sky Arts’ Guitar Star) and rock singer and guitarist Beth Blade (Beth Blade and the Beautiful Disasters). All have chosen their classic album for the show along with future guests including Rob Wylde (Tigertailz) and blues singer Big Boy Bloater (Imelda May, Big Boy Bloater & The Limits) Whether it’s an album you personally can’t stop playing or one you’ve never actually heard, ‘My Classic Album’ is the perfect companion to some of the greatest albums in history!

Life’s Work: A Podcast About Laura Stevenson’s ‘Sit Resist’” is a multi-part limited series co-produced by Better Yet and Don Giovanni about the 2011 sophomore album by NY songwriter Laura Stevenson. It is also an oral history of the late 2000s to early 2010s Brooklyn DIY scene, and how the reverberations of one album, the people that created it, and the scene it came out of, can offer comfort and inspire unknown numbers of people in its wake. Sit Resist is available in a new expanded edition, remastered at Abbey Road, with a bonus disc of unheard b-sides, outtakes, demo, and live recordings.
