    I ALSO Want Money

    by

    Since Apr 26, 2020 11:00 UTC

Closing the gender wealth gap goes beyond financial literacy. On I ALSO Want Money, co-hosts Nicole Kyle and Sophie Holm explore strategies for overcoming and dismantling the societal barriers that prevent women from making money. This podcast investigates why wealth is more accessible to men than women, and, in a world where net worth is a function of one’s network, invites psychologists, economists, anthropologists, activists, and more to democratize, demystify, and demasculinize wealth.

Lovey tackles the inequalities faced by Blacks, Browns, and the unseen and NO…green people don’t count. Come through to dissect current affairs, politics, pop culture, and everything in between laced with a heavy touch of comedy and sarcasm to boot.” “In this week’s critical episode, Lovey opens the conversation with the voice of Keedron Bryant, the incredible 12-year-old gospel singer who dedicated his original song to the death of George Floyd. For many Black men, women, and children, this has been one of the hardest weeks in many years and for some a lifetime. Join Lovey and her returning guest Kyle Layne-Allen as they discuss living and dying in America as a Black person.“

    All Ears with Abigail Disney

    All Ears with Abigail Disney

    by

    Since Apr 23, 2020 18:00 UTC

Abigail has a new documentary, The American Dream and Other Fairy Tales, in which she examines the inequality crisis through the lens of the company her grandfather helped found, The Walt Disney Company. In the film, she asks how it is possible that so many workers at Disneyland, aka “the happiest place on earth,” can’t afford life’s basic necessities, even when they work full time. For the fourth season of All Ears, Abigail poses that question to people who are doing the most Disney thing of all–using their imaginations–in this case to rethink capitalism. She talks with business leaders, union organizers, and economists to learn how they would fix our broken economy.
