Save Our Sleep® -Tizzie Hall -The International Baby Whisperer

    by

    Since Apr 8, 2022 05:00 UTC

Tizzie (Elizabeth Maher Infant Sleep Consultant) has gained an International reputation as The Baby Whisperer. From an early age, Tizzie discovered how to read babies body language, cries and cues, and from that auspicious beginning she has developed a series of books that have provided parents and babies with a good night’s sleep the world over. Save Our Sleep is the podcast parents asked Tizzie to create.Tizzie and the Save Our Sleep team support families in Australia, Ireland and all around the world to get better sleep – and consistently more of it. Tizzies books, bedding and online support, give you the understanding, tools, and confidence to help your little one sleep longer and settle on their own – in their cot, co-sleeping and when you’re out on the go. She helps you understand the why behind your baby’s sleep patterns and behaviour so you can adapt their sleep, feeding pattern (including routine and demand feeding) and nutrition to suit their age. Her approach is holistic, balancing your baby’s developmental, physical, emotional and nutritional needs. It’s baby science, backed by over 3 decades of experience, straight from the heart of Tizzie. This show will include a myriad of information that compliments the books, explaining the stories and evidence behind the theories and practices advised. Not to mention, a bit of craic (aka fun and lighthearted banter). A must listen for parents and carers alike!

    The Go Diaper Free Podcast

    The Go Diaper Free Podcast

    by

    Since Jun 10, 2013 19:00 UTC

Andrea Olson of Go Diaper Free explains elimination communication – the concept of pottying your baby, as early as birth – which is what people have done for all of human history and in today’s world where there are no diapers. She makes it easy to integrate EC into your modern lifestyle as a new parent, demystifies how to know your baby needs to go, how to take them to the toilet instead of primarily relying on the diaper, and makes EC approachable, accessible, and fun, for all parents…whether part-time, with or without diapers, and in any region of the world. Contrary to popular marketing messages, diapers are tools, not toilets, and babies are ALL born “ready” to use the toilet. Learn how to connect with your baby on this very natural level with Andrea’s expert guidance, and experience the freedom of a life without dependence upon diapers, a life without traumatic toilet training, a life where your baby gets a head start on developing motor skills, communication, and learning by prioritizing this age-appropriate skill (0-18 months). EC honors your baby’s dignity and makes parenting THAT much easier! Stop changing blowouts…and learn how to listen to your baby’s requests for good hygiene. Learn more at godiaperfree.com. (PS – Andrea also occasionally covers potty training, for those of you who find us after 18 months.)

Fourth Trimester Podcast: The first months and beyond | Parenting | Newborn Baby | Postpartum | Doula

    by

    Since Feb 28, 2016 19:41 UTC

My name is Sarah Trott. I’m a new mama to a vivacious baby girl and this podcast is all about postpartum care for the few months following birth, the time period also known as the Fourth Trimester. My postpartum doula, Esther Gallagher, is my co-host. She’s a mother, grandmother, perinatal educator, birth and postpartum care provider. I’ve benefitted hugely from her support. All parents can benefit from the wisdom and support that a postpartum Doula provides. Fourth trimester care is about the practical, emotional and social support parents and baby require, and importantly, helps set the tone for the lifelong journey of parenting. This podcast provides resources for new parents and examines the socio-cultural influences on parenting. When I first became pregnant, I had never heard of postpartum Doulas, let alone knew what they did. So much of the training and preparation that expecting parents do is focused on the birth and newborn care. Once baby is born, often the first interaction parents have with medical or child professionals, other than the first pediatrician visits, is the six-week checkup with the OB/GYN. What about caring for mama and family between the birth and the six week doctor visit? What are the strategies for taking care of the partner and the rest of the family while looking after your newborn? Our podcasts contain expert interviews with specialists from many fields to cover topics including postpartum doula practices, prenatal care, prenatal and postnatal yoga, parenting, breastfeeding, physical recovery from birth, nutrition, newborn care, midwifery, negotiating family visitation, and many more. First-hand experience is shared through lots of stories from both new and seasoned parents. Hear what other parents are asking and what they have done in their own lives. We reference other podcasts, internet resources and real-life experts who can help you on your own parenting journey. Visit our site at https://fourthtrimesterpodcast.com/ We hope you have a well-resourced and enjoyable experience as new parents. Sarah Trott & Esther Gallagher xo
