    Fingal Poetry Festival Podcast

    Fingal Poetry Festival Podcast

    by

    Since Aug 31, 2022 14:23 UTC

The Fingal Poetry Festival Podcast celebrates the light that poetry brings into our lives…

In each episode, one of Ireland’s most celebrated poets will read a poem, which they will then speak about before reading it again.

In 10 minutes or less, armed with these insights, you will be guided through the poem and pulled into the heart and mind of the poet.

Poetry transports us. It stops us in our tracks. And with this podcast, you can do both.

Take these poems with you on your walks. Or sit down with them for a cup of tea.

And don’t forget to write to us on Twitter @fingalpoetry. In fact, we’d be delighted if you wrote a tweet-sized poem about how much you love the podcast.

    Thank you for listening.

    The Blarney Pilgrims Podcast

    The Blarney Pilgrims Podcast

    by

    Since Jun 5, 2019 04:00 UTC

The Blarney Pilgrims Podcast is a weekly journey to the heart of Irish music. We interview players of Irish music about how they first came to the music and the place it occupies in their lives now. We use the word ‘heart’ intentionally, because heart is what this music, and the people who play it, are all about. It’s a funny, warm and often unexpected journey – and the tunes are crackin’ too. NOTE: Hey there – it’s Darren and Dom here. So…we want to let you know that last week was the last episode (Ep 94) of the Blarney Pilgrims Podcast for now. We’ve come to a point where we’ve both decided to take a long pause and focus on a few other things. Knowing how much the podcast means to you all, it’s a decision we’ve been really reluctant to take. What we DO know is how massively grateful we are for every text, every thumbs up, every raised eyebrow of support we’ve had over the past two years. You are all legends, and we’re forever in your debt. Thanks especially to everyone who’s become a Patron Saint and supported us through the toughest of economic times, and thanks most especially to the musicians. To those who have been so generous to share their tunes and stories with us, and to those who’ve welcomed us into pub sessions and festival gatherings and house sessions and campsite sessions. Wherever in the world we’ve chatted with players of the music, we’ve been made to feel like lifelong pals. It’s a testament to the open heartedness of the communities who keep the music going wherever they are, and we can’t thank you all enough. We hope this archive will remain of use to people even as we’re taking a pause. So – please do stay in touch, don’t be a stranger, and if you see us out and about, do say hello. And we’ll see you when we see you. Dom and Darren.

    The Circle Of Confusion

    by

    Since Jul 26, 2012 20:47 UTC

Hello and welcome to the Circle of Confusion – where you’ll find a different perspective on photography. Three of us cause the confusion. Roger Overall is a documentary photographer who helps private and corporate clients tell their story through photographs. Peter Cox is a landscape photographer and educator, dedicated to photographing the best that nature has to offer and then teaching you how to do the same. Neil McShane is also a landscape photographer and specializes in creating fine art black and white photographs. The Circle of Confusion started life as Ireland’s first professional photography podcast. It was hosted by Peter and Roger and ran for ten episodes, giving a European perspective on the professional photography business. When the initial run of the podcast ended in early 2011, Neil was invited to join the team to launch a new series of educational photography films. At this point we have two episodes of the film series complete and have relaunched the podcast as a weekly offering.
