We’re Alive – A “Zombie” Story of Survival

We’re Alive – A “Zombie” Story of Survival

    by

    Since May 4, 2009 09:00 UTC

Listen to the entire epic series, which follows Survivors in Los Angeles after the world has been turned upside down.

It begins with “A Story of Survival” which spans from Chapters 1-48. Our survivors band together, fortify a safe haven known as the Tower, and discover that the Infected are far from the biggest threat they will have to face.

The adventure continues with two mini-series:

“Lockdown” – A small group of inmates and prison guards are trapped in the T-block at Twin Towers Jail. They are forced to work together and find a way to escape while the rest of the world ends around them.

“Goldrush” – Set 17 years after the main events of “A Story of Survival”, this is a recollection story that describes the efforts of the four Soldiers as they attempt a side mission to retrieve a suspected stash of gold bullion.

Our newest season is “We’re Alive: Descendants”:

The story of survival continues; the fight is not over.

18 years after the Outbreak, the world is starting to re-organize and rebuild, but many different forms of humanity are still struggling to survive in the aftermath. Nicholas Tink grew up in the shadow of his father- the late, great, Saul Tink. Little does he know that deep in the places where infected dwell, another descendant lies waiting.

Content Warning: This podcast contains descriptions of graphic violence, sexual references, and strong language. Listener discretion is advised.

    Cobbler’s Gulch

    Cobbler’s Gulch

    by

    Since Nov 8, 2020 04:00 UTC

Welcome to Cobbler’s Gulch! Fair warning: As a visitor to Cobbler’s Gulch, there’s a better than even chance that you will encounter the following: pirates, circus folk, roughnecks, dwarves of various sizes and temperaments, dragon slayers, and a menagerie of monsters including goblins, tuxedo-wearing frogs, screaming scarecrows, witches, and many others that have yet to be properly named. If the above list makes you feel uncomfortable, please know there will also be adventure, whimsy, magic, bold acts of derring-do, and lots and lots and lots of goats. So many goats. Consider yourself warned! If you’re still wondering if this show is for you, know this: The story is a celebration of adventure and fantasy, of fiction and storytelling, of gut-busting laughs and the occasional spooky turn. It’s about friendship and turning your flaws into a force with which to be reckoned. It’s for kids, yes. Or children if you’re puttin’ on airs. But it’s also for those of us in charge of kids or children, particularly those of us who may have forgotten how much adventure is still out there. We of Cobbler’s Gulch hope this story helps you remember. We hope you join us. Either way, we offer you this: never let a goblin get your goat.

    Shabam!

    Shabam!

    by

    Since Feb 22, 2016 17:00 UTC

The science podcast that’ll eat your brain. Shabam! is a new type of science show that blends fictional stories with real science. If you love science but hate those awkward scientist interviews that involve graphs and confusing metaphors, you’re in luck. First off, Shabam! is an audio program – so no graphs. And second, through the magic of sound effects and music, you’ll hear stories that reveal the awesomeness in the world around us – like cellphones and vaccinations. In season one, our main story is about three kids separated from their parents during a Zombie apocalypse. Over the course of 10 episodes we follow their quest to reunite with their families. But their experience leads us to another conclusion – that there’s a lot of science all around us that we take for granted. And finally, you may be wondering whether we’ve added silly songs and jokes to make up for the fact that we can’t show you graphs. Yes we have. Also, we only interview cool scientists who aren’t awkward, which means the whole family can enjoy it!
