Unbroken: Reclaiming Your Self After Childhood Trauma

Unbroken: Reclaiming Your Self After Childhood Trauma

    by

    Since Nov 12, 2019 04:40 UTC

Childhood itself is a traumatic experience for most of us. Too many of us carry the scars into adulthood, and it impacts literally every aspect of our lives. We have felt, or been led to believe, that we are damaged, different, scarred, or somehow broken. This impacts our health, our relationships, our sense of “enoughness” and self-worth, and our ability to live a life of prosperity and peace. The truth is, we have shown great courage to keep getting up and going day after day, year after year. What we have perceived as our biggest weakness is in fact our greatest strength. As for me, my life changed when I realized 2 things: 1) There’s only ever now. My only job is to attend to what is coming up in the present and the rest takes care of itself, and 2) It’s not what happened to me, but the meaning I give it (i.e. the story I believed to make it make sense) that continues to cause the damage. Join me on a journey as we band together to show the world that we are not the damaged, defective, or weak, but rather, we are the Unbroken. Host: Pete Buecker Community Site: WeAretheUnbroken.Com This song is about looking into the eyes of unconditional love for the first time: the joy and pain of it. This is one just to listen to and see what it stirs in you. I really love this song. Even If

    Even If

    by

    Since Mar 29, 2020 19:34 UTC

We want to be people who believe in God’s goodness, no matter what. But what do we do when life is anything but good? When God doesn’t answer our prayers the way we’ve asked or imagined? Or when disappointments and loss dominate this season of our lives? No stranger to loss and longing, Kelly Streiff creates space to acknowledge deep pain and grief, while walking with us on a journey of becoming “Even If” people – people who stand firm in our faith even if God doesn’t show up the way we expect or desire. Together, we’re navigating these seasons of life, learning how to stand firm when life is shaking, and with resolve in our hearts and, sometimes, with a quiver in our voice, boldly declare God’s goodness in our lives…Even If.

Kinky Introverts – BDSM at Home

    by

    Since Jan 3, 2020 18:00 UTC

See more at kinkyintroverts.com. RULE NUMBER ONE: You must be at least 18 years old to listen to this content! This podcast aims to bridge the gap between people who live the BDSM lifestyle within the community and those who prefer to kink it at home. Brian and Kitten have both been in the lifestyle with and apart from their local communities. By coming together and joining their family units, leaving the house has become less of an option. Still wanting that community feel, they hit the airwaves and hope to put out good information, learn from others, and play on air as they continue their lifestyle journey together. Brian and Kitten are switches, sadists, masochists, and edge players (knives and blood make them horny), and have an Owner/pet dynamic. Brian is mellow but evil and Kitten is feisty with a hell of a bite! The goal is to share weekly content so that listeners can live vicariously through them so we can all grow together. Creative Commons Music by Jason Shaw on Audionautix.com and edited with Brian and Kitten’s kinky f*ckery.
