AnthroTalks is an audio extravaganza on the magical mundaneness of everyday life. Designed by practicing anthropologists, Taapsi Ramchandani and Inga Treitler, this monthly podcast series brings you conversations and videos that speak to the dramatic and not-so-dramatic forces that shape our lives and livelihoods. To tell our stories, we experiment with the tools we carry with us every day in our minds and in our pockets, like our smartphones and Google Voice. And why not? When our lives can be on-the-go, shouldn’t podcasting? Enjoy the show, and stay curious! Have you ever gotten in line and waited… not sure if you were in the right place? Not sure what is going on up front? Waiting. It’s unremarkable. You don’t give it much thought. Until you have to! We talked to lots of people who have to think about waiting. Here’s what they said.

Update on My Podcasts I have taken down my podcasts after more than three years due to a shift in projects. Many of the concepts in my podcasts can now be explored in more detail in my Metaphysics Degree Program at www.MetaphysicsInstitute.org. I encourage those who are interested in personal growth, relationships, and metaphysics to visit the site above to learn more. I also want to thank my thousands of listeners for their time, as well as the handful who wrote or called to say thanks. I wish everyone the very best of success! Doug Kelley [itunes pic]

Connie and Sunny, two HCI grad students talk to professionals from diverse and rich backgrounds in the field of Human-Computer Interaction. As you see, we’d like to call ourselves NOMADS as we have been moving from place to place, away from our comfort zones, friends and family not only for opportunities and wisdom, but mainly because we want to make these societies more Equitable, Humane and Accessible through HCI and Technology! While HCI, Design and Tech are considered to be niche and fancy, I think we are responsible to create outreach about what we do and why it matters for all the 7 billion people(in the long run, of course).
