    Plug It Up

    by

    Since Apr 27, 2021 10:00 UTC

Plug it Up is a horror movie podcast about the monstrous feminine. Host Caitlin Grant and her funny guests look at the monstrous feminine in all its forms, including: monstrous menstruation (like Carrie and Ginger Snaps), monstrous motherhood (like Rosemary’s Baby and The Omen), femmes fatales (like Jennifer’s Body and The Love Witch), black widows (like Dolores Claibore), body horror in women (like Teeth and Raw), treacherous friendships between women (like The Craft), women battling horrors (like You’re Next), and women who are themselves horrific (like Gone Girl). Although this show focuses on the experiences and portrayals of women in horror, it’s a gender inclusive space, and the discussion is open to people of all gender identities and presentations. It’s an explicitly intersectional feminist, trans-inclusive podcast for horror fans.

Blunt, and no, not weed Podcast

I’ve been told my whole life that I’m a little blunt, not sharp, blunt. I simply lack the finesse required for sharpness. Maybe it’s because I’m a Sagittarius or the fact that I am a sensitive bitch, nonetheless my mind is both a scary and enlightened place, sometimes my mind is kind to me, sometimes it hates me. I sometimes like it here, I sometimes don’t, and the older I get the more I’m fucking okay with that. I don’t have all the answers, nor do I claim to (well to be fair sometimes I really do have the answers, I just don’t like them). I’m on a learning, discovering, and enlightenment journey. I have questions, many questions, for life and the experiences it encompasses. Something I say a lot is the expression “that makes no sense” and usually it slips, sometimes I scream it out, sometimes under my breath when I come to the realization that there is a bigger picture. That many of the things we are raised to believe make sense really don’t. I love love these moments because it means I’ve been given a chance to learn, listen, and grow from someone’s story, experiences, and existence. In these moments my mind got bigger, my capacity for understanding and knowledge expounded and my empathy beamed. So this podcast will simply be me asking a lot of questions, talking, and learning about whatever I want. So come along! You may agree or you may disagree BUT just remember life is full of glitter and glue and we ebb and we flow!

The Only Endometriosis Podcast You Need

The Only Endometriosis Podcast You Need

    by

    Since Jul 24, 2022 16:14 UTC

In this podcast, Sarah (Your Natural Endometriosis Expert) and occasionally a guest or two talk about a range of issues pertinent to endometriosis, mostly from a ‘natural management’ perspective. Listen and discover the truths behind this very common and often-debilitating condition.

Theme music courtesy of Chris Collins at www.indiemusicbox.com

Sarah was diagnosed with endometriosis 20 years ago and, when faced with invasive surgery, she decided to forge her own path. Learning a myriad of natural methods and alternative medicine techniques, she started to treat herself with some success. As word spread, she started treating friends and family and her company (Halcyon) was born in 2008. Since then, Sarah has successfully treated hundreds of women with endometriosis, adenomyosis, PCOS, menopause, fertility issues and may other often-debilitating conditions.

She now focuses on teaching others the self-treatment techniques she’s used to manage her own endometriosis and avoid surgery since her diagnosis all those years ago. Sarah also helps forward-thinking organisations support the menstrual health of their employees with supportive management strategies, period-friendly workplaces and access to a range of programmes to help people who are struggling.

    A Womb of One’s Own

    A Womb of One’s Own

    by

    Since Mar 22, 2021 19:00 UTC

Welcome to A Womb of One’s Own with Sarah-Jane Crawford. This is a podcast about our experiences and feelings navigating our ambitions and our proverbial biological clocks. Through a set of candid interviews with amazing, successful and high-profile women, we eggsplore a taboo subject familiar to so many of us. Funny, intimate, and always honest, each episode explores women’s lives in their entirety but unlike other podcasts we also discuss one issue our guests have experienced around their fertility. By sharing never-heard before stories, A Womb of One’s Own aims to normalise conversations about our bodies and how they work for us as we work to have it all. This podcast is a space to help everyone, feel like they can be part of the conversation and engage with their fertility wherever they are in their lives and journeys. On this podcast we share the stories, the knowledge and the truths women need to know (with the help of experts as well) to help you feel like you can take ownership of your fertility without feeling worried, or defined, by your ability to have a child or be a parent. And we know that every person’s journey is different; so whether you want a child, are not sure if you want kids, are experiencing your own fertility and health challenges, want kids later on in life or don’t think you want children – we promise – this podcast is for you. A Womb of One’s Own is an independent podcast co-created by Emmy Award-winning presenter and broadcaster Sarah-Jane Crawford and award-winning producer and executive producer Clarissa Pabi; and this is their first baby/podcast together. The Host is Sarah-Jane Crawford, the Producer and Executive Producer is Clarissa Pabi, Sound Design by Clarissa Pabi, Artwork by Naomi Gennery, Mixing and Engineering by Kate McGinn, and original music by Aiwan Obinyan. The podcast is an all women production. “It takes a village to raise a child/make a podcast” ancient African proverb.
