Frontline practitioners in key worker positions are currently finding themselves overworked, time poor and confused while working under unprecedented circumstances. In an attempt to alleviate the pressure child protection professionals are under, the AoCPP podcast was born. There has never been a more important time to keep up with child protection and safeguarding news. But with government regulation changing daily, we realise not all frontline professionals have the time to do so. That’s why we’ve created this podcast – to give you what you need to stay informed.

In our special episodes, we take a more focused look at a singular issue that child protection professionals need to know about. These are often specific and urgent – so we’ll be talking with a professional at the forefront of the issue.

The Association of Child Protection Professionals is a registered charity and membership association. We provide education and professional development opportunities for those working in child protection. Our mission is to improve the lives and safety of children by working with those in the sector to provide research, representation, training, and support.

Like 97% of all Americans, Bruce is as ordinary and unremarkable as anyone. From pastor to police officer – to living paycheck to paycheck, Bruce is obsessed with trying to prove a parallel between past experiences and God speaking directly. A simple self-improvement podcast as the true, meaningful, hilarious, personal, and sometimes tragic stories are brought to you with the added connection of inspired words.

    The Forensic Psychologist Podcast

    The Forensic Psychologist Podcast

    by

    Since Sep 20, 2020 23:41 UTC

What is the role of a forensic psychologist in a legal case? How do I build a forensic psychological practice? How do I prepare for testimony? How are forensic reports different from clinical reports? How do I assess for malingering and other response styles? How do I incorporate data that does not fit with my forensic opinion in the report (i.e., alternative hypotheses)? How do I ethically utilize AI? How do I balance being a partner, and parent, and running a forensic or law practice? Should I take on associates, trainees, interns, or fellows? The most important question of all is, how do I take care of myself in a career where there is such a high volume of secondary trauma? Whether you are an attorney, legal decision-maker, or forensic mental health professional in public or private practice, this show is for you. The TFPP is a biweekly workshop-style forensic psychology (social science and the law) and business podcast that unravels the intersection of law, psychology, and human behavior. The show includes guest expert interviews, business bites, and tools for personal and professional wellness. It helps those in the forensic mental health and legal arenas understand the complexity of psychology and the law, pursue their dreams, and thrive in a heavy career. You can listen to other experts in the field on how to do the work, build a practice, and stay healthy along the way.
