Dreams Around The World – Life Design – Psychology – Personal Development – Travel – Personality Types – Working For Yourself

    by

    Since Feb 9, 2017 18:12 UTC

You’ve only got one life, so why not design it around your own personality, dreams, and desires? I’m Dan Johnston and I do my best to help you create your own version of an awesome life…whatever that means for you. Personally, I value freedom and experiences over money and things and even if the seas are a bit rougher, I’d rather be the Captain of my own ship. I, and the occasional guest, cover a range of topics from psychology and MBTI personality types (you know, that whole ENFP, INFP, INFJ, INTJ thing) to freelancing and entrepreneurship. Since I am location independent (a Canadian currently living in Prague), I also talk about travel and being a digital nomad from time to time.

Meditations from Mindfulness-Based Organisational Education (MBOE)

Meditations from Mindfulness-Based Organisational Education (MBOE)

    by

    Since Mar 17, 2020 09:00 UTC

We build human organisations. We believe the future of organsations is human-centred, but the bottom line dictates that leaders can’t risk untried programmes with unclear benefits. These short, guided mindfulness meditations were first taught to NHS hospital staff as part of the Mindfulness-Based Organisational Education (MBOE), which is an evidence-based programme. It’s taught to organisations and communities to empower people to create a more human and sustainable world. These meditations offer a dual purpose: The ‘how’ and the ‘why’. They are a great place to start and our book, Social Mindfulness: A guided to mindfulness meditations from Mindfulness-Based Organisational Education, goes into greater depth. Social Mindfulness: A guided to mindfulness meditations from Mindfulness-Based Organisational Education is available from www.mindfulnessconnected.com/shop/social-mindfulness

WHEREING: A Podcast about Belonging and Design

WHEREING: A Podcast about Belonging and Design

    by

    Since Oct 5, 2020 22:00 UTC

WHEREING explores ‘where we are’. Like clothing, we are ‘WHEREING’ (wear-ing) our spaces. Hosted by architect/designer/professor Nina Freedman, these are mindful conversations about BELONGING, SPACE AND DESIGN.

    .

Where Are You?…is a basic existential question.

    Where do you belong?

    .

At WHEREING we talk with designers, artists, poets, healers, writers, educators…and regular wonderful everyday people who think about belonging …perhaps YOU. We talk about our connections or disconnections with spaces or objects, and how we equally impact the spaces that impact us.

    .

Our talks will be based on four categories. We call them the ‘neighborhoods’. They are Transiency and Stasis, Places I Cannot Change, Aesthetic Aging and Belonging/s.

    .

The first season of WHEREING will have 12 episodes, with interviews featured twice a month.

    .

Visit the Whereing website here: https://www.thewhereing.com

Is something taking over your brain? Zombified is a podcast about how we are vulnerable to being hijacked by things that are not us. From microbes hijacking behavior, to humans influencing each other, to our brains being taken over by social media, we talk about why zombification happens, why we are susceptible to it, and what we can do about it. Hosted by Dr. Athena Aktipis, a Psychology Professor at Arizona State University and the founder of the Zombie Apocalypse Medicine Alliance, and co-hosted by zombie enthusiast Dave Lundberg-Kenrick, “Zombified” takes a radically interdisciplinary approach to the science of zombification. If you enjoy fresh brains, this podcast is for you!

    The Art of Enough

    The Art of Enough

    by

    Since Feb 15, 2019 05:00 UTC

Are you always climbing the highest mountains? Always putting yourself into stressful situations that require all of your skill, all of your determination, all of your energy just to get over the top and back down onto level ground? And when you get back to level ground, do you quickly start the anxiety provoking climb allover again? Are you a perfectionist in some area of your life? You’re parenting, your relationships, your work, your art? Where no matter how hard you try, no matter how muchprogress you make, it just doesn’t feel like you’ve done enough? The Art of Enough is a personal, transformative art making project. The process is much like my previous works where I used a multi-disciplinary, psychology driven creative process to become aware of, and then transcend, limiting patterns of emotions and behavior. Creative process is core of my work; it’s a place where I seek freedom and spontaneity through acting, movement, voice exercises, therapeutic photography, video techniques, writing explorations and mindfulness practices. The Art of Enough resulted in a series of podcasts, photographic artworks and personal psychological and emotional change. I have been able to slow down, stop a compulsive need to always “climb the highest mountains”, and most importantly been able to find moments when I consciously decide to say “no” in situations where I previously was subconsciously driven to say “yes”. In many ways, it was about becoming more present and making more conscious choices, instead of always reacting to situations around me based on some inner voice that commanded me to “do more” or to “be better”. I have done enough and now, in many cases, if I choose to do more it is because I believe it will result in more pleasure, more freedom and more connection with those around me. http://jsullivanartist.com/
