The Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima & Nagasaki by US Army Corps of Engineers, Manhattan District

The Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima & Nagasaki by US Army Corps of Engineers, Manhattan District

    by

    Since Dec 26, 2023 00:00 UTC

This is the official report, published nearly 11 months after the first and only atomic bombings in history (to date), of a group of military physicians and engineers who accompanied the initial contingent of U.S. soldiers into the destroyed cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The report presents a clinical description of the devastation, loss of life and continued suffering of the survivors that resulted from the world’s first and only atomic bombings. The appendix is an eyewitness account, contrasting vividly with the dispassionate sang-froid of the report itself, written by a German Jesuit priest who survived the blast at Hiroshima, and whose order assisted in rescue efforts following the catastrophic attack. This recording was completed on the 63rd anniversary of the events.

A moral decline has taken root in thinking of the African-American community. History has shown repeatedly that a moral decline in man leads to intellectual decline, and intellectual decline leads to ignorance (darkness) and conjecture. When darkness falls upon the face of the deep, men who strive for moral and intellectual balance are obligated to pursue efforts to bring reason and rational out of ignorance (darkness) and conjecture. For ignorance and conjecture over time lead to a path that misguides, and it is the misguided ones who eventually fall into misbelief, then disbelief, soon followed by the emergence of weak morals, corruption, falsehoods, and finally previsions. “Natural Law”, a system of preexisting conditions inherently fixed in the universe, regulate the balance of the seen and unseen forces, a check and order for all living organisms (except man), in an ever evolving universe, set in motion by the omnipotent One, the (Creator). A thorough study of Natural Law will reveal that man (Homo sapiens) has evolved over millions of years out from an inferior primordial origin, following evolutionary footsteps that appear to be a predestined pattern embedded in nature. This pattern necessitates that for the healthy survival of the human species, man should follow a certain path (direction) of social and human development that is best compatible with the “genetic stuff” contained in the human DNA. The scientific reasoning process that man has learned from studying the signs (science) of our material reality should be convincing enough to compel men to follow this predetermined path, for “truth” stands out clearly from nonscientific paradigms (error) of human thought. Yet time has proven that Natural Law is not enough to restrict man from deviating from the intended path that leads to freedom, liberty, and justice for all humanity. It should be obvious that the Creator has given the human being the autonomy from the gravity of Natural Law and even the

Brain Twister by Mark Phillips (Randall Garrett and Laurence M. Janifer)

Brain Twister by Mark Phillips (Randall Garrett and Laurence M. Janifer)

    by

    Since Dec 25, 2023 00:00 UTC

“Mark Phillips” is, or are, two writers: Randall Garrett and Laurence M. Janifer. Their joint pen-name, derived from their middle names (Philip and Mark), was coined soon after their original meeting, at a science-fiction convention. Both men were drunk at the time, which explains a good deal, and only one has ever sobered up. A matter for constant contention between the collaborators is which one. Originally published as That Sweet Little Old Lady, Brain Twister follows the adventures of FBI agent Kenneth J. Malone as he attempts to unravel the machinations of a telepathic spy. His first problem: how do you find a telepath to catch the first telepath? The novella was nominated for the Hugo Award in 1960.

    Just a thought

Pras is a deep conceptual thinker, he taps into dimensions of feeling and thought that most people don’t have time for, never dared to go there, or didn’t even realise existed his expertise lies in the cross over between his long and intuitive relationship with computers since he was a wee lad, and his unique understandings and reinterpretation of society. This is particularly evident in his radical re-thinking of societal disfunctionality and how to help heal the deep systemic structures and patterns of society.
