Top of the Heights

The climb towards success can be tiresome, long as hell, and straight up annoying, especially when those petty emails show up in your inbox. Every Wednesday, Destiny @destinythinks and Monica @monicaconnects deconstruct the lessons their Dominican parents taught them about The American Dream, in pursuit of their skyline view offices and E! Reality TV show. If you’re looking for good bochinche (Dominican conversation… or gossip), a laugh, and a lesson on living your best life, then this is the podcast for you. Tune in and #boldenup as we continue our climb towards the Top of the Heights.
In light of the recent discussions within the Latinx community regarding Black Lives Matter, @destinythinks & @monicaconnects teamed up with @mismodest to have a candid conversation about race, our role as Latinas in the Black Lives Matter movement and beyond, and about the ways our immigrant experiences intersect with those of Black Americans in this country. Together we explore our Blackness, get a history lesson (read: gems) by @mismodest, and provide tangible tips for you to be a part of the solution rather than a perpetuant of the problem. We hope our conversation empowers you to reflect, take action, and practice empathy for everyone around you while we make it through these challenging times! The climb continues…
