News in Slow German is a podcast for those who already possess a basic vocabulary and some knowledge of German grammar. Your hosts are native German speaker from Germany. Wir beginnen den ersten Teil unseres Programms mit dem Internationalen Tag der Pressefreiheit, der jedes Jahr am 3. Mai begangen wird. Als Nächstes sprechen wir über einen Bericht eines medizinischen Experten in Frankreich, aus dem hervorgeht, dass das Coronavirus bereits am 27. Dezember im Land war. Danach diskutieren wir über soziale Distanzierung und darüber, wie sicher die Zwei-Meter-Regel ist. Und schließlich werden wir über Belgien sprechen, wo die Einwohner aufgefordert wurden, mehr Pommes Frites zu essen, um den dortigen Kartoffelbauern zu helfen.
Wir werden darüber sprechen, dass inzwischen alle deutschen Bundesländer Gesetze verabschiedet haben, die das Tragen von Gesichtsmasken beim Benutzen der öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel oder beim Einkaufen vorschreiben. In den meisten Bundesländern trat das Gesetz bereits am 27. April in Kraft und jetzt schließlich auch in Bremen und Berlin. Unsere zweite Story beschäftigt sich damit, dass Deutschland Aktivitäten der israelfeindlichen Organisation „Hisbollah“ in Deutschland verboten hat und Razzien durchführt. Die USA und Israel haben diese Entscheidung gelobt.
