COGNITIVE RAMPAGE with Author ADAM LOWERY

    by

    Since Aug 11, 2015 01:55 UTC

Welcome to the Cognitive Rampage Podcast. The exploratory podcast pushing you to question yourself and everything else. Making you think with cerebral guests, and offering hardcore mental health help. I’m your host Adam Lowery. I have published two books, appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience, MSNBC, NASDAQ Live, NBC, multiple podcasts and radio shows. I am a retired nightclub connoisseur and drug dealer turned retired Mental Health Therapist turned Author, Podcaster, CEO, Comedy Club Owner and Comedy Host. I hold both, B.A. and B.S. Degrees, a Minor in Sociology, a Masters in Mental Health and a Doctorate from Sidewalk U. As a Therapist, I founded the integrative therapeutic approach Transrational Structural Behavior Theory (TSBT), and have also been credited with the discovery of the Athletes Depression Diagnosis. In my flow time you will find me doing stand-up comedy or producing comedy shows. I love the great outdoors. I surf, dive, kayak, spearfish, offshore and inshore fish. I’ve caught and hunted my own food since I was a child and have survived on a deserted island. If comedy or nature isn’t calling, you’ll find me training boxing and kickboxing. I enjoy cooking, podcasting, playing pool, frisbee or reading a physical book. I have a serious addiction to the ocean, listening to podcasts, new experiences and randomness. I talk to strangers, and too much. I love most people, including you. In my book series The Cognitive Rampage, I fuse the cognitive, behavioral, social and biological sciences into a self application to help you create and sustain change in your life, and to reveal the authentic you. Available on Amazon, Kindle and Barnes and Noble. I hope you’re taking care of you and living your Cognitive Rampage! What does that mean? It is about cultivating happiness through a passionate pursuit of life optimization, an enthusiastically persistent search for competence in mind, body and belief while building an optimistically rational life philosophy and living and growing your purposeful structure. I hope you’ll stay around by subscribing to the podcast on iTunes, Spotify and YouTube, following me on Facebook, Twitter and IG, and buying my book on Amazon so we can keep exploring this amazing human experience together.

Meditations from Mindfulness-Based Organisational Education (MBOE)

Meditations from Mindfulness-Based Organisational Education (MBOE)

    by

    Since Mar 17, 2020 09:00 UTC

We build human organisations. We believe the future of organsations is human-centred, but the bottom line dictates that leaders can’t risk untried programmes with unclear benefits. These short, guided mindfulness meditations were first taught to NHS hospital staff as part of the Mindfulness-Based Organisational Education (MBOE), which is an evidence-based programme. It’s taught to organisations and communities to empower people to create a more human and sustainable world. These meditations offer a dual purpose: The ‘how’ and the ‘why’. They are a great place to start and our book, Social Mindfulness: A guided to mindfulness meditations from Mindfulness-Based Organisational Education, goes into greater depth. Social Mindfulness: A guided to mindfulness meditations from Mindfulness-Based Organisational Education is available from www.mindfulnessconnected.com/shop/social-mindfulness

    Yelling at concrete

    Yelling at concrete

    by

    Since May 19, 2017 15:03 UTC

Yelling at concrete isbi-weekly podcast for coffee and conversation, taking a look at the life and interests of the guests who chat with me as well as taking an introverted look at topics I’m interested in!

Graham is an artist and passionate creative who thrives on generating conversation and discussion in a more abstract manner than just posing questions so three weeks out of each month with a one week breather he sits down to have a cuppa and chat. When guests come they bring their own topic so every episode is lead by the guests interests and what they want to discuss and the solo casts are wandering thoughts on subjects which interest Graham. The goal is keep the subjects diverse and give people a space to just have a chill and talk about what’s really going on.

You can catch the show three times a month on a Friday and follow it through the year as Graham brings you a range of guests and topics. The key word is conversation so we don’t edit we just talk and that allows us to relax and really get into subjects. I hope you’ll join us.

    oh GAWD! What is That?!

    by

    Since Jul 8, 2020 05:00 UTC

Meet Amanda. She’s intelligent, bubbly, and bat sh*t bonkers. In hope that negative rumination turns into positive introspection, Amanda created a podcast for those who like to look within in an effort to be a little less crappy and much more happy. Welcome to Oh Gawd! What is That?! A productive peek into the mind. Ever met someone who rambles on about their great day to a person whos clearly bumming? Like a homegirl that gushes about her great relationship while you’re sulking over a recent break-up. Either that broad is a self-centered jerk or she lacks some feels smarts. The ability to clock an emotion, control it, and express it authentically. It’s also that ability to be like “oh damn this person is clearly hurting my beeeee” Experts call this emotional intelligence. Emotional Intelligence: the capacity to be aware of, control, and express one’s emotions, and to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically. This episode of OGWIT, I discuss being feels smart with dear homie of the show, John! What is emotional intelligence? How is it measured? And what are the benefits of developing this kind of intelligence. As always if you’d like to support OGWIT visit my patreon page! www.patreon.com/ogwitpodcast TRIGGER WARNINGS it gets a little ranty and there’s some potty language as per usjj but otherwise you’re clear to fly! if there are some cringe, heartbreaking, ohnothatsnotokay moments please let me know via email (ogwitpodcast@gmail.com) or IG (@ogwitpodcast) and I’ll do my best to revise the notes. Thank you!
