    Take a Bite! Podcast

    Take a Bite! Podcast

    by

    Since Nov 25, 2020 13:00 UTC

Take a Bite! Podcast stories are quick 5-15 minute long tales told with imaginations, appetites, and attention spans in mind. Children follow the prompt to “take a bite” of their meal or snack as they listen. Watch that food disappear! Many children struggle with mealtime. A Take a Bite! story can add adventure, suspense, cuteness, and fun to the table. Don’t forget, little ones, to follow our directions…and eat your veggies! Visit takeabitestories.com for discussion questions and to support the show. Look for a new story each week and don’t forget to subscribe on your choice of podcast app. Thanks for listening!*DISCLAIMER*: Take a Bite! Podcast stories are written for children 3 years of age and up. Adult supervision is always required while children are eating and listening. Always remind your child to finish chewing before taking another bite to prevent choking. It is important to consider your child’s age and stage of development before listening. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian/caretaker to decide if a Take a Bite! Podcast story is suitable for their child. Take a Bite! Podcast assumes no liability for injury or medical issues related to listening. By listening, you agree to all terms set forth within and use at your own risk. In Your Mirror: extraordinary people you should know share their inspirational stories of overcoming life’s obstacles

In Your Mirror: extraordinary people you should know share their inspirational stories of overcoming life’s obstacles

    by

    Since Mar 11, 2021 03:56 UTC

Each episode, I’ll be chatting with extraordinary people who are enjoying success in their field, and saying to them, “let’s take a look in your mirror”. Each of us has our own story of overcoming adversity. Getting past those obstacles. Leaving the past behind us. In this show, you’ll hear how some of the most successful and extraordinary household names of now and the future have overcome their demons to win big in life. Everyone has a story of how they’ve looked in their mirror, and then looked back at their past life from the rear view mirror. My hope is that you listen to these stories, and then feel inspired in some way to model yourself on these guests. After all, they ARE extraordinary people. Eventually, maybe you, too, can feel inspired to look back at your past life in your rear view mirror.

    In Search of the Story

    In Search of the Story

    by

    Since Mar 7, 2018 12:00 UTC

In Search of the Story is a show about the experiences that we find in gaming and other related media. Chris and Olivia dive into narrative focused interactive entertainment and discuss the impact that it can have on our lives. The show may be explicit from time to time, though it is a PG-13 at most. But as the conversations continue, there is no telling where this yarn will take us. Each week we will aim to discuss a specific topic and let our natural conversation drive us. This will be a raw format podcast with editing only done for background noise – so you will hear everything that comes out of our streams of consciousness. Enjoy!

    There She Goes

    There She Goes

    by

    Since Mar 29, 2021 14:00 UTC

Welcome to There She Goes: travel stories told by the women who wrote them. There She Goes is a place to hear travel essays by women–their words and experiences, told in their own voices. No interviews, no conversation, just great storytelling by women travelers. Each week, escape to a different elsewhere with a new travel companion. Trek through a Thai jungle with a guide of dubious intentions. Take a road trip with your family along the Boudin Trail in Southern Louisiana. Lean out a window in Bangalore, India, and learn about the politics of desire. Fear for your life while navigating the switchbacks of Sicily. Head to Suriname, Paraguay, Guyana and French Guiana on a personal quest. Find comfort in a silent twilight ritual in Iran. Flirt with a stranger on the cliffs of Santorini. There She Goes reminds us of the power and importance of women’s travel narratives. Proves they are nothing short of essential. *Our theme music is a selection from the song “City of Refuge” created and performed by Abigail Washburn.
