Gary Ryan – What Really Matters For Undergraduate Students

Gary Ryan – What Really Matters For Undergraduate Students

    by

    Since Nov 19, 2009 06:33 UTC

Undergraduate students are regularly unaware of the employability skills that they are developing at university or in part time jobs or volunteer opportunities. As a result many undergraduate students believe that they don’t have any ‘relevant’ experience. Employability skills are generic skills that are important in any technical field of expertise. This series helps undergraduate students to indentify these skills and to commence practicing them in a way that will acclerate their careers.

    Since Jul 29, 2020 22:55 UTC

Youth Advocates for Immigrants & Refugees is a group of highly-motivated high school students who have united to build bridges of cross-cultural understanding through art, activism, and storytelling. We at YAIR recognize that the future lies with youth, and that is why it is crucial to foster a sense of belonging and understanding within multicultural communities. The Speak Up/Speak Out podcast series is a platform for immigrant and refugee youth to share their stories, subsequently fostering intercultural connections and empathetic exchange throughout the Portland-metropolitan community. We hope to combat misconceptions of immigrants and refugees, build trust among disparate communities, and highlight the power of storytelling.

What’s with the ice cream truck in the logo? In the 80’s, Richard E. Clark at University of Southern California set off a pretty epic debate based on his statement that “media are mere vehicles that deliver instruction but do not influence student achievement any more than the truck that delivers our groceries causes changes in nutrition.” * So, the ice cream truck, it’s a nod to Richard Clark, who frequently rings in my ear when I’m tempted to take things at face value. “Is it the method, or the medium?” I wonder.

The title, No Such Thing, has a few meanings. Mostly, it emphasizes the importance of hard questions as we develop and document the narrative of “education” in the US. For Richard E. Clark, the question is whether there’s such a thing as learning from new technologies. For others, it might be whether there’s a panacea for the challenges we face in this field. Whatever your question, I hope that it reminds you to keep asking–yourself, your learners, others–what’s working and how so.

What if I told you the secret to money? That money is just energy and we are 100% in control of earning more money in our lives. Hi 👋🏼 Im Bre, your new money coach! I am a former elementary school teacher turned full time entrepreneur creating 12 streams of income while I taught full time. It personally PISSES ME OFF that we are not taught financial literacy in school and it is my mission to educate as many souls as possible on how to become financially free. I learned quickly that being an elementary school teacher was not my final destination. I started to educate myself on how wealthy people think, act, behave. I started to realize the truth about money: it’s all energy and if we want to have more money, we must take action and become OPEN to more money. I started to sell digital lesson plans, courses, and masterclasses online. I started to literally make money in my sleep. While going to college to be a teacher I invested into my first real estate property at 25 and my second real estate property at 28. I saw that the more I spent money, the more money came back. I noticed when I shifted my perception about money, more money and opportunities would flow to me easily and effortlessly. This podcast is here to challenge everything you were taught about money and business. I am here to push your limitations around earning, spending, and receiving money. This podcast is for the person looking to create more streams of income, make more money, and create a new money blueprint for not only themselves but for their families as well. I declared early in my life that I was going to break the money cycle I was born into. Now it is your turn. BREAK THE MONEY CYCLE!!!
