Do you want to lead a full and meaningful life? A life that is rich, purposeful, filled with intention, awareness, and perspective? Counsellor and art therapist, Janine Ray, has 8 years of experience as a counsellor, and more than two decades of experience of living with anxiety. In this podcast, Janine offers “life-hacks” or tips & tricks to gain life-enhancing skills. Often, we are not taught the skills to cope with challenges, deal with difficult emotions and different people, and many of us simply “get by” using what works – whether it is helpful or not. Life Hack topics include healthy communication, how to express emotion, how to respond to difficult situations, and more. This podcast is recorded in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Discovering Our Scars Podcast is all about one thing: honest conversations. Steph and Beth talk about things that make most people uncomfortable (religion, mental illness, sexual abuse, and more). Steph and Beth became friends when they poured their hearts out in a 12-Step recovery small group. Neither was dealing with addiction—but both had hurts, habits, and hang-ups they needed to address. Steph’s journey is detailed in her book, Discovering My Scars, and that’s the inspiration for the podcast. While the podcast is inspired by Steph’s book, the hosts expand on subjects that make each person unique. The mission of the podcast is to help people embrace the “embarrassing” parts of their lives and learn to love and value all of themselves. On the podcast, the hosts share their own experiences and invite guests to broaden the conversation by contributing their own wisdom. As in Steph’s book, the podcast does not “tell you what to do,” rather, it has the ability to inspire people through the hosts’ honest and heartfelt approach.Podcast website: dospod.us

We’re Nicole & Kate! Friends, confidants, accountability partners, and we’ve been supporting each other over the years sharing our ups and our downs and hashing out the big questions of life – do we want kids? Can we have it all? How do we stay healthy and keep our businesses running smoothly without major stress and overwhelm? We talk things out ‘cause that’s what real friends do – they provide love, support, and space for one another to share without judgement, speak without hesitation, and learn from each other – even when we don’t agree.

Everything we wear, every product we use, every building we see is a design defined by a certain shape. The Design with Vision project illustrates how eye tracking technology can be combined with shape generation software to create a radically new type of computer aided design. As you sketch ideas for product shape the system detects what you are looking at and offers you a range of on-screen alternative shapes. This is computing that works with your own creativity rather than replacing it – this research, a collaboration between the OU and the University of Leeds is aimed at stimulating and generating ideas for designers, the result could have a global effect on the industries of the future.
