Teach Me to Fish “Helping Leaders better understand what drives People”

Teach Me to Fish “Helping Leaders better understand what drives People”

    by

    Since Nov 23, 2023 02:00 UTC

    Why Teach Me to Fish?

Catch someone a fish, feed them for a day.

Teach them to fish, feed their family for life.

Our purpose is to help Leaders better understand what drives People. In any organization, the core of recruiting and retaining talent revolves around leadership. And not just average leadership, but motivated, values-based, inspirational leadership.

Our Pursuit is to get a little bit better every day.

Progress = Small Victories and stacking habits.

Habits like Getting up early, working your butt off,

learning something new, being positive and surrounding yourself with phenomenal People.

Thanks for investing some time for yourself and thinking about the kind of People and experiences in your life that inspire you to be the best version of yourself.

I hope these conversations spark some ideas on what you can do to inspire People too.

The Do What Is Necessary Podcast

The Do What Is Necessary Podcast

    by

    Since Oct 29, 2021 16:20 UTC

Let’s be honest: building a company from nothing is incredibly hard. It has been for me. I started my entrepreneurial journey at age 8. Yep, you read that right….8! Since then, I’ve started, run and sold multiple businesses with no partners and no funding. All my life I’ve had to build something from nothing, and that’s what I’ve gotten really great at – tenacious, creative and extremely smart strategy coupled with hard work. Welcome to The Do What Is Necessary podcast—I’m your host, Andrew Moon. Listen in as I share all the mistakes I’ve made and, more importantly, what I’ve learned from them, with no fluff, and no rose-colored glasses. The Do What Is Necessary Podcast is a show where we cut through the toxic hustle and grind mindset and dig into what it actually takes to start and grow a “calm business”. Calm is family first. Calm is more independence. Calm is sustainable practices for the long term. Calm is joyful. Running a calm company is a choice. I’ll be giving unfiltered advice every week, 10 minutes per episode each. I want you to walk away from this podcast with the mindset and tools you need to be successful. This podcast is for entrepreneurs, side hustlers, and busy professionals with a short attention span (like me)—you’ll get quick-hitting, actionable information in every single episode. If you give me your time, I promise it won’t be wasted. Now let’s get to work!

Innovation Design: Sustainable Communities – for iPod/iPhone

    by

    Since Jul 19, 2009 21:59 UTC

Can you picture the future in a world without fossil fuels? Perhaps you think that living an “alternative” lifestyle has to mean painful and radical changes to the way you live now. This album looks at various small scale initiatives which show that living sustainably may not be as unpalatable as you might imagine. Bedzed, Findhorn, Hockerton, Samsoe Island; these are all decentralised communities at the forefront of a major social and technological experiment. In our world of finite resources and massive over-consumption, “breathing” walls, earth-shelters, composting toilets, “living machines” to deal with wastewater – are just some of the technologies which we may all have to get used to. These eco-communities are all breaking new ground by demonstrating how implementation of innovative solutions can create changes in social behaviour, so that people live in harmony with the Earth’s living systems, rather than against them. You might also wish to explore the other T307 albums “Energy and Sustainability” and “Design and Sustainability”. This material forms part of The Open University Course T307 Innovation: designing for a sustainable future.

Another great episode of behind the scenes of my life and who was my BEST hire of 2022!

I felt like I needed to share something positive about my hiring and team so I wanted to share who my best hire was last year. And they were someone who wasn’t a “business” hire.

I share not only why we hired someone in this capacity, where we found them, what their first initial projects were and how they are STILL with us 1 year later.

There were a few things mentioned in today’s episode, so here are the links:

    – Laylee Emadi’s Instagram for Creative Educator’s Conference
    – Marketer’s Heart Event where I’m speaking about Reels
    – Check out the House Manager Toolkit

    Stop Shoulding All Over Yourself

    Stop Shoulding All Over Yourself

    by

    Since Sep 13, 2021 20:00 UTC

We all deserve a life of joy and fulfillment, but for many of us that joy feels elusive. We’ve checked off all the boxes and done all the the things that the blueprint of life says should make us happy, and yet – no joy. Turns out, being happy isn’t about following society’s blueprint, but about creating our own blueprint for what we want out of our lives and taking action to make that happen. For us to embrace that opportunity, we first have to let go of other people prescriptions for our life choices, and build trust in our own inner compasses. That journey was hard and long for me, but it doesn’t have to be. Join me as we explore and build an exciting future based on what YOU want, and how YOU feel inside, unlock a life of joy and fulfillment, and release yourself of the guilt of not enough.
