    Mission Z Podcast: Empowering Change

    by

    Since Jan 3, 2023 18:00 UTC

There can be no doubt that the Covid-19 pandemic has cast light on significant issues impacting our children today. Headlines are rife with the warning signs of a generation in crisis; mental health, academic gaps and substance abuse overdoses have ravaged communities across the U.S. The tumult of the adolescent world, augmented by these crises has heeded a call to action to protect our kids, not seen in decades. As an educator, I have seen the impacts, endured the challenges and taken a direct interest in this call to action. Mission Z, “Empowering Change” will be an advocate for our struggling youth. We want to give voice and relevance to the students, families and educators in our communities to foster connections, facilitate meaningful conversations with professionals in the field to ensure collaboration for real action and real solutions. What can these conversations, connections and collaborations yield? Mission Z “Empowering Change” will delve into the heart of these issues, bring all stakeholders to the table, and give a powerful voice to the future, our children.

Parents! Feel like you’re missing out on your kids’ lives while also never having enough time for yourself? Career pressures, shuttling kids around, volunteer commitments, and the endless tasks of caring for your home all place enormous demands on your time and energy, leading to guilt, stress, and ultimately regret. And while you’re trying to tend to your own self-care while also being a present parent who prioritizes family connection, your kids are growing up way too fast.

Sound familiar? If so—help is here! Unlike other parenting podcasts that just give you techniques for raising children or tips on childhood development, Parents Making Time focuses on helping YOU, the parent, prioritize YOUR life so that your parenting aligns with your values. In 15-minutes or less, this weekly podcast helps busy parents prioritize their relationships, be more present and intentional with family time, and build a lasting legacy of love—without neglecting their own well-being or feeling regret later in life.

Leveraging their 20+ years of parenting experience raising three thriving kids and leading and mentoring hundreds of children, youth, and families in volunteer church positions, hosts Anthony and Jennifer Craiker teach parents on a tight schedule how to balance work and family, create unbreakable family bonds, prevent parent burnout, and find joy in parenting.

If you’re ready to prioritize family time each day without feeling overwhelmed, you can count on this show to teach you how to be fully present with your kids, build lasting memories, prioritize your spouse, make dinner time count, connect with your kids after work, stop missing precious moments, discover intentional family time ideas, and so much more—all while learning how to implement quick self-care tips, create an intentional family legacy, and parent with no regret. So, hit PLAY, and let’s get started!

    You Were Made for More

    by

    Since Apr 12, 2019 20:00 UTC

Our hearts yearn for teenagers to know that they are valued, loved, and created for a purpose. Currently, our culture is feeding teenagers so many lies – telling them that they are defined by what others say about them, how they perform, and what they have to offer to others. The Truth speaks of a completely different narrative, though. Our identities are found in one thing, and that one thing, changes everything: Jesus. That’s a POWERFUL, transformative statement. When it gets from our heads to our hearts it shifts how we live, what we believe, and how we do relationships with others. Our mission is to consistently speak about the abundant life that is freely offered to us because we have seen + believe that when teenagers know what they are worth AND whose they are, they will be more inclined to live for Jesus – following His commandments and walking in His ways. This podcast hosts conversations on tough, relational topics, always pointing back to the hope that God offers us when we understand who we were created to be. Best Self-Improvement podcast – Independent Podcast Awards

You don’t have to be an expert to be a great parent and we’re on a mission to give you the self-belief, knowledge, and skills to do your best.

One of the hardest things about parenting teenagers is that we’re often not prepared for the problems we have to tackle, which is why we welcome any questions you have about problems you face.

Rachel uses her journalism skills to dig for answers, looking at what a broad range of experts are saying about them.

Susie then brings her wealth of expertise and experience in mindfulness to the discussion as we talk through the options for parenting in an imperfect world, offering tips on the things we’ve learned along the way.

    What the Award judges said:
‘The advice within the podcast on how to deal with what life throws at you is universally helpful, not just for those with teenagers.’

‘A good mix of personal stories alongside professional insight; it’s addressing something different, and helps its audience with the references and extra information provided in episode notes.’

‘The rapport between the hosts, Rachel and Susie, is great with a good mix of them chatting, but also providing context for the listener and remembering them within the conversation.’

For more discussion and tips, you can find us on Facebook and Instagram. Find courses with Susie at https://www.amindful-life.co.uk/
