    Since May 8, 2025 15:00 UTC

Welcome to The SHE Asked Podcast with Anna McBride—a space where the stories we tell ourselves are challenged, reimagined, and rewritten to unlock personal transformation.

Hosted by former therapist, storyteller, and lifelong seeker Anna McBride, this podcast dives deep into the power of narrative. Through personal stories and intimate conversations with guests, we explore how shifting our internal dialogue can change not just how we see our lives—but how we live them.

Each episode offers what Anna calls “practical hope”—real tools, lived experience, and emotional honesty for anyone feeling stuck, lost, or ready for change. Whether you’re navigating divorce, grief, reinvention, or simply trying to understand your past, The SHE Asked Podcast invites you to become the author of your own story—and the hero in it, too.

Follow along for weekly episodes filled with compassion, perspective, and the courage to ask yourself:
What story am I telling—and is it still serving me?

    No One Dies from Divorce

    No One Dies from Divorce

    by

    Since May 27, 2021 16:00 UTC

I’m Jill Coil, the author of the book and docuseries “No One Dies from Divorce.” But with the mental, emotional, financial, physical, and spiritual toll that divorce takes on people, the scope is so big that I decided to create a podcast, so this can be an ongoing conversation.Divorce sucks. I know because I’m a divorce attorney and have divorced hundreds of clients at this point. I also went through a separation myself with my husband. Though our journey ultimately did not end in divorce, it gave me personal insight and empathy into the pain and turmoil of my clients’ lives. So if I can use my experience to save you from some of the heartache, confusion, stress, anxiety, or unknowing, our sole mission for this podcast will have been met. Remember, I am an attorney, but I am not your attorney. I’m inviting other divorce attorneys, relationship experts, mental health professionals, fitness and health coaches, spiritual leaders, and financial advisors, as well as plenty of people just like you, who are going through or have been through divorce, to talk about their journeys. You’re not alone. You can do this. Let me help you to not only survive through, but also thrive after your divorce. We can use our trials as a pivot to become a better version of ourselves. Let’s get through this together.

How do biology, psychology and social science contribute to our understanding of mental health and mental illness? How do the biomedical and biopsychosocial models compare when it comes to diagnosis and treatment? This album reveals the importance of the perspective scientists and health professionals take, and the difference it can make to treatment outcomes. The Blackthorn Garden case study illustrates a holistic approach to helping people with mental health conditions integrate themselves back into society. Clinical psychologist Neil Frude explores issues relating to both diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders; addiction psychiatrist Emily Finch illustrates how heroin and alcohol misuse could be considered to be a mental health conditions; and research scientist Martin Rossor’s discussion reveals the current position with research into treatments for Alzheimer’s dementia. This material forms part of The Open University module The science of the mind: investigating mental health

    Since Feb 17, 2020 04:00 UTC

Kat and Moose is a true-life podcast where we explore the quirks of being human.

We are three friends who share stories and laugh through topics related to spirituality, mental health, mid-life, relationships, bodywork, loving ourselves, and living our best lives. We also sprinkle in some enneagram and five-element theory.

Some have called us a “funny mental health podcast”. You decide!

Recently, a dear listener shared this about us:
“To quote the fabulous Indigo Girls, my thanks to the Kat & Moose podcast because “You helped me take my life less seriously”. The more I listen to you as we take another crooked line into the unknown, eternally connected labyrinth, I know I’m not alone, and the ‘Closer I am to fine’. – Anna, a Kat and Moose listener
