    Hope Layer Podcast

    by

    Since Nov 18, 2019 18:00 UTC

Your story is personal and your heart is deeply layered… and you would love some honest inspiration that offers you hope. So, here I am, offering you encouragement… a simple yet powerful comfort with the comfort that I have received from walking through my own deeply layered story and discovering the gift of hope. Hope Layer podcast was born out of engaging in my brokenness through the expressive mediums of photography and journaling. As I have practiced this kind of creative therapy for both myself and then for others, I have continually discovered that no matter where we are at, or how deeply layered our story is… there is always a deep and beautiful layer of hope just waiting to be revealed! And hope is so good for the soul. I pray that these hopeful and authentic stories will serve you and love you well here…that you will feel safe and nurtured at the close of each episode. Thanks for journeying with me and discovering hope with me!

    I Think I Love You

    I Think I Love You

    by

    Since Mar 20, 2020 04:46 UTC

Falling in love with someone is easy. Staying in love with the same person, year after year, is much harder. That’s why we’re recording an hour of conversation every week of our first year of marriage. For us, it’s a way to dig into our fascination with one another and this existential question of lasting love. For you, it’s an invitation to creep on our marriage as it unfolds, mistake by mistake and lesson by lesson, since no one ever really told us about theirs. We’ll work through fights, expose probably too much of our sex life, and try to get to answers for how to stay in love in this little human experiment called I Think I Love You. Riley & Caro Consider also seeking out podcasts created by black people, as well as those which aim to shed further light on systemic racism in America. A few suggestions: @nprcodeswitch , @yoisthisracist , the 1619 project by the @nytimes, “74 Seconds” (which tells the story of Philando Castile’s murder), and @livvperez’s podcast are a few that come to mind.

    Spot on: Spotted not broken

    by

    Since Nov 12, 2019 04:00 UTC

Spot On: Spotted not Broken is about Vivia and her own struggles with her body. In addition to her perception of her body image. She is exploring, sharing how she feels about the spots caused by illness specifically cancer, and how it spotted her physically, mentally and spiritually. She realizes that there are others who look at themselves the same way but also have different spots they don’t like to speak about because they go unseen by the natural eye. For example, mental illness- depression, gender, racism, classicism and the things that we as a society don’t want to talk about. This also includes poor body image, the lack of confidence-especially for those who are professionals, etc. So in a nutshell, Spot On is for everyone. Join the prowl.
