Activate Purpose: Finding Purpose Through Action While Balancing Motherhood + Career

Activate Purpose: Finding Purpose Through Action While Balancing Motherhood + Career

    by

    Since Oct 30, 2017 14:01 UTC

For many women, becoming a mother begins the search and desire for a more meaningful, purposeful, and successful life. But with that desire comes a feeling of not knowing WHAT you want or HOW to get the life you want, all while facing the challenges of raising young children and a demanding career. Using my own experience as a test case, I will share in real-time my path to finding a deeper purpose while balancing motherhood and career. Be prepared for honest insights and a healthy dose of skepticism as I take on uncomfortable exercises, new challenges, and (hopefully) discover a more bold, confident, and successful ME. To learn more visit https://www.activatepurpose.com

I’m sharing how I decided to speak with a person who unexpectedly showed up in my world and forced me to confront an uncomfortable truth. I’ll talk about how a comment sparked this conversation and required me to ask myself, am I allowed to accept a compliment from someone I have vilified in the past? What if a person you think you don’t like unintentionally inspires you to do something remarkable? How do you reconcile the two? I’ll talk through how things went and where I stand.

    Working Home Parents

    Since Sep 12, 2020 03:00 UTC

Weekly interviews, resources, and advice to help parents raise their little ones and make a living all under the same roof. We know being parents of little ones and working from home can quickly go from enjoyable to stressful within moments. Amanda and Dan from Parent Pacifier reveal their parenting wins, failures, and lessons they are learning along the way, so you no longer feel alone and can get a handle on the stress. Since 2017, they have been raising their son, all while working from home—Amanda, an employee telecommuting remotely, and Dan, a self-starting entrepreneur, often working late into the night. Each job already has its unique stresses, then add a baby in the mix; it only gets more complicated. Can you relate to potty training on breaks? How about keeping a small apartment quiet while on the phone with a client? Or the everyday struggle of somehow scheduling in meals, fun activities, and sleep? They will go into all that, and more so you can also make it through the day without burning yourself out. It’s a mix of interviews, special co-hosts, and solo shows from Amanda and Dan you’re not going to want to miss. So whether you have a newborn or have multiples, hit subscribe, and get ready to get a handle on the working from home Parent lifestyle.

Hi! I’m Heidi, experienced Birth Doula and host of the Birth Story podcast brought to you by Birth Story Media™. I support moms through their fertility and pregnancy journeys and help have trauma free birth stories and labor stories. When moms embrace their pregnant bellies and their pregnancy and await the arrival of their baby or babies they are going to feel many emotions and have many visions about what will happen during child birth. “Is this normal?” “What does a contraction feel like?” “What does the day of labor look like?” “What is a Doula?” I want every mom’s birth story to be peaceful, happy and a memory that they will love to share. Birth Story podcast is my way to provide childbirth education through story telling in the comfort of your home and to prepare a mom for motherhood with any birth story that unfolds for their pregnancy, labor and delivery. If a pregnant mom uses an OBGYN, a midwife, a doula, a birth doula, or has a home birth, water birth, natural birth, C-section, cesarean birth, hospital birth, medicated birth, epidural birth, pitocin birth, an induction or induced labor, are having multiple babies or a single baby, a birth plan or no birth plan; I started this podcast to help moms learn and prepare for their labor and delivery and birth though birth story telling.
