    Verdant Reports: 5 Minute Podcasts

    by

    Since Apr 28, 2009 17:42 UTC

Verdant Reports is an experiment in podcasting. We shall see how it goes. The aim is to produce short, interesting, audio for people around the world who think that animals exist for their purposes rather than for ours. Instead of half an hour of entertaining chatter, we will produce podcasts which are much shorter but worth the five minutes they take up. If we expect lots of people to listen, then it is worth someone spending time making it worth listening to. We will check facts. We will aspire to produce good journalism, covering different perspectives with balance and objectivity. We share values with our audience. We obviously object to needless violence to people. Less obviously, we object to needless violence to animals. All media have voices they do not include, and we do not include voices that advocate, say, eating meat. We aim to gather information and ideas for stories in conversation with the online community. We shall give it a try, and we shall see how it goes. Throughout Southeast Asia, Chinese Buddhist vegetarians kept Bill very well fed. He finds out more about this other vegetarian movement – and tries lots of food. Download internet radio report (5 mins 02 secs): Travelling and Eating Vegan in Southeast Asia: Chinese Restaurants (MP3 3.64MB) (other sound file formats) This is the final of three […]

Red Radio: Vegan Banter with a Bite

    by

    Since Jun 25, 2012 05:00 UTC

The motivation behind Red Radio starts at the roots: Erin Red’s passion for veganism and animal rights. Erin is excited to broaden the vegan community’s spectrum by promoting veganism and abolition as the only ethical and healthful lifestyle choice. Of course she anticipates ‘converting’ many omnivores, however she also looks forward to supporting animal causes and charities, organizing events and meetups, and encouraging a more active and PROactive vegan community in her vicinity and far beyond. From an outspoken and realistic standpoint, Erin addresses and educates on a number of topics ranging from Veganism 101, to animal rights and abolition, to health and fitness, to environmentalism, to cooking, baking, and more. Red Radio regularly welcomes guests from the activist community along with music, television and film personalities, and will occasionally record on location at vegan hotspots, interview vegan ‘celebrities’ and include real stories with vegans of all walks of life. Erin Red’s goals are to educate, entertain, and enforce. To wake people up. And have an unreasonably good time doing so. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll learn…and you’ll stop drinking pus and eating rotted flesh!

    The V-Word by Sarah-Jane Crawford

    The V-Word by Sarah-Jane Crawford

    by

    Since Jan 7, 2019 18:00 UTC

The V-Word by Sarah-Jane Crawford is a vegan podcast. After being inspired to turn vegan back in 2015 by Grime MC JME who came on my radio show, I’ve been on a mission to uncover the new age and face of veganism ever since. I figured you don’t have to be a hippy or white, middle class, only eat rabbit food or shop in Notting Hill’s organic food stores to live on a plant-based diet. On the V-Word I meet athletes, celebrities, influencers, and just all-around interesting people, reflecting a broad cross-section of vegans whose lives challenge the old school stereotype of what it means to not eat meat or dairy. I hope that you will find as much inspiration in listening to my vegan podcast as I did in creating it. Enjoy!
