Oh What Rapture!
Is a ‘secret rapture’ going to spare believers from the tribulation to come?
The Whore and her Mother
9/11, Babylon and the Return of the King
by Raymond McCullough
My background is in lecturing, publishing and radio/TV – but previously I ran a construction business. I still love to know how things are put together – buildings, origins of words, phrases – so I have used a similar approach in exploring, what I believe to be, an extremely important and relevant topic.

This Used To Be The Place is a fiction podcast series exploring how New York City’s past collides with its present. Season One centers around Anna who, after emerging from her apartment for the first time in three days, finds a notebook with an intriguing list of names. Each episode, she tracks down one person on the list to try to determine how they’re all connected. Coming up with creative excuses, lies, and even schemes verging on criminal, Anna manages to insert herself into their lives in order to uncover their stories, or perhaps just to break the lonely monotony of her own life. As she ventures throughout New York, Anna discovers not only what the list means, but how the city isolates and connects us, and how the people who live here hide and reveal their secrets. Driven by a renewed sense of purpose as she investigates the list, Anna begins to move forward from a tragic past, navigating her struggles with mental health while dealing with the universal issues of finding your place in the world and coming to terms with who you are.

We seek to rightly divide the word of truth between Law and Gospel, so that the people in the city of New York and beyond might know and confess where they end and God begins. We proclaim the historic faith of Christ and Him crucified. “When I came to you, brothers and sisters, I did not come proclaiming the mystery of God to you in lofty words or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” – 1 Corinthians, 2 Calvary/St. George’s is a community of people in the Episcopal Diocese of New York, which is a constituent member of the world-wide Anglican Communion. The Stakes is a show about social change, hosted by Kai Wright. We live in extreme times—a climate on the verge of crisis, an economy built on inequality and a political system that feels like it’s falling apart. So, how’d we get to this point? And what happens next? From democracy to healthcare, from pop culture to the environment, our reporters are working to understand why we live the way we do—and why it matters. Because if we can better understand the society we‘ve got, maybe we can figure out how to create one that works for more people. The Stakes is produced by WNYC Studios, home of other great podcasts including Radiolab, Death, Sex & Money, On the Media, Nancy and Here’s the Thing with Alec Baldwin.
