Welcome to my world of Positive and Empowered Parenting.

Parenting is tough, I get it, but I don’t think it needs to be so hard!

I’m sure you would agree that it is by far one of the most challenging jobs as a human being you will ever encounter while at the same time being the most exhilarating, heart warming and rewarding time too.

Our children don’t come with an instruction manual and you don’t need a degree to have a baby, yet somehow we’re meant to know what to do when when you’re triggered, exhausted and riddled with guilt because they’re having a meltdown for the umpteenth time and you’re shouting again to try and get some sort of order.

This is where I come in.

I truly believe that when you engage in the right mindset, when you have the knowledge and understanding of your developing child and you have a good set of parenting tools up your sleeve, you feel much better prepared to know what to do when times get a tad tough.

I will help get you from a place where most of the time you feel like you’re on a never ending hamster wheel of chaos, guilt and frustration, to a place where you feel calmer in yourself, able to deal with the tantrums without losing control and getting to the end of the day feeling like you’ve worked with your children not against them. You can put your feet up knowing you’ve been the best you can be and they’ve had a good day.

I have been an Early Years Teacher and Parenting Coach for over 20 years and have helped many parents feel empowered in their own parenting abilities to create peaceful relationships with their children through positive interactions. I challenge the standard traditions of parenting and teaching methods we have used for centuries and seek to support children’s emotional well-being. I truly believe that the way we talk to children, the way we understand their feelings and their emotional development has a profound effect on their upbringing and impact on adulthood.

We are our child’s role model, teacher and superhero and they deserve nothing but the best start. They are our next generation and we need to understand them as a developing child and ourselves as their greatest educator.

If you want to learn new ways of interacting with your children from a place of connection and collaboration without the need for using negative and damaging behaviour strategies, it would be my pleasure to take you on a journey to be the very best version of yourself to give your child the very best childhood.
