The featured spirit’s backstory is covered, including history of production, marketing, availability, notable events for the spirit, as well as personal stories on enjoyment. This podcast features new episodes at least weekly, and is the work of host Matt Birchard, who created the podcast as a way to keep a new year’s resolution to himself – which was to drink more! Old Time Radio

    Old Time Radio

    by

    Since Aug 3, 2015 03:55 UTC

This is a project that started because it seemed to me like all the OTR available online was either a bit disorganized, or hadn’t been cleaned so was difficult to listen to. While I am not going to spend hours of my time working on the episodes, I find that even running a few quick filters on classic radio shows makes a huge difference. I’ll begin with one of my favourite series’: Bold Venture starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall. If you don’t know who they are… google now! You’re missing out on some of the best movies ever made.

    Arts, Literature, Other

    Arts, Literature, Other

    by

    Since Oct 10, 2020 22:47 UTC

Just two brothers discussing all things artistic. From music to novels to television to video games and so much more, we offer a young, contemporary look at the arts. Debating the controversies of the classics and arguing for art forms underappreciated, we bring to the listener a humorous hour unlike any other artistic or literary podcast. Forget Rodgers and Hammerstein’s ‘South Pacific’, the ‘South Park Movie’ is a much better musical. You think that Old English literature, like Beowulf’s battle with the dragon, is hard to read? Try defeating a dragon yourself in the outstanding video game ‘Cuphead’; it took us about five hours to complete that two and a half minute level. Educational but vibrant, academic but uncensored, we deeply analyse a variety of topics which could be considered under the parameter of ‘art’. Warning… we are not afraid to tackle adult topics or use adult language from time to time. We hope you enjoy the podcast. New episode released every week.

This is the story of a gay, anti-monarchist atheist in the 1590s. This is the story of a writer who saw the line in the sand and spat on it. This is the story of a man who was centuries ahead of his time, and met a gruesome end because of it.

Go over to the ‘Arts, Literature, Other’ youtube channel to watch this with GradeAUnderA style animations.

The Zany Time Travels of Warble McGorkle

The Zany Time Travels of Warble McGorkle

    by

    Since Dec 1, 2006 17:00 UTC

In this podiobook: In ‘The Zany Time Travels of Warble McGorkle’ (book II of a trilogy, and the first one recorded), Warble Poundcake McGorkle and his entourage (wife, employees, a sales team, and a canine) travel back in time to revise history.Their meddling in events during American Revolutionary War Times, at Custer’s Last Stand, the Alamo, Woodstock, and many other pivotal events–as well as a detour to 1st Century Jerusalem to kidnap Jesus (or Judas)–leads to catastrophic consequences for those living in modern times. Among the things Warble and his gang perpetrate are:1. Banishing George Washington to England for inventing the peanut (and thus being responsible for ‘Peanut Envy’)2. ‘Helping out’ at the Alamo, so that it’s the Mexicans who ultimately get ‘saddled’ with Texas3. Originating Pre-emptive Strikes (umpires calling strikes before the ball is thrown)4. Changing song lyrics at Woodstock to influence the politics and modify the personalities of the concert-goers These are just a few of the outrageous shenanigans that culminate in a climactic scene as the protagonists return to the present and see what their changes have wrought.
