    by

    Since Apr 27, 2020 20:30 UTC

This is What Democracy Sounds Like is a presentation of Metropolitan Congregations United in St. Louis, MO. MCU is a community organization that brings together religious congregations, community groups, and individuals to work for a common purpose: to create a better life for all residents of the St. Louis region.

We work at the intersection of race, economy, political power, gender, and the structures of oppression at work within us individually, within our organization and within the community.

We are working towards building people’s control of the government, building community control of the economy, expanding the public sphere, and creating structural racial equity.

Upgrading Your Brand (Series #1: Chat with my College Child on Career, Commerce & Culture)

Upgrading Your Brand (Series #1: Chat with my College Child on Career, Commerce & Culture)

    by

    Since Aug 15, 2020 04:47 UTC

I started in the field of career counseling in 2000 until 2014. But when I left that field to become the Marketing Director of Mvoss Creation, I started merging my “Product Branding” to “Personal Branding”.

I did not want to impose some of these skills in giving advice but rather make it more personal by addressing my “counsels” or advice to my son who is now going into college.

But then, as teenagers, they would rather listen to their high school counselor which I think is smarter and more appropriate as I am now “rusty” on that part of counseling.

But as I continue to evolve in the broader field of career & commerce, as well as culture – I thought I can bring these thoughts and “bottle them up” in case my son gets into the “ocean or sea” of information and stumble one of these VLOGS or Podcast.

These podcasts originally appeared as weekly VLOG with my dog Daisy (she passed away in 2019) and now Blinky during my daily morning walk.

About This Podcast & Dr. Tony Astro, PhD

Thoughts on Career (Personal Branding), Commerce (Business) & Culture (Cultural Intelligence & Networking) from Tony Astro – a Navy Veteran with 20 years of experience credential in career development, educational services, marketing, training, workshop, and entrepreneurship.

He lives in Virginia Beach with a mutt Shiba with his teenage son and his spouse and business co-owner of Mvoss Creation Promotional & Consulting. They have been in the business of promotional marketing for over 12 years and attended hundreds of networking in Connecticut, California & Virginia connecting people to their brand.

Tony has a PhD in Counseling major in Human Services. He has numerous accreditation and credentials in the field of Career Development , Cultural Intelligence, Organization Management, Public Speaking, Counseling, Technology and Business.
